About Me

I am fascinated by the way complex behaviour emerges from simple underlying rules, in algorithms, mechanical linkages, physical systems, and everything in between. I am drawn to understanding why a system behaves the way it does: the geometry, the physics, the logic underneath.

This fascination shapes how I approach engineering and design. I value simplicity as the result of rigorous thought. To me, simplicity is not the absence of complexity — it is what you arrive at after understanding something deeply enough to strip it down to what matters. Similar to many of the systems found in nature, the most elegant solutions often arise from a small set of core principles applied consistently. And I believe that is true whether you are writing an algorithm, designing a mechanism, or debugging something that shouldn't be broken.

That philosophy is part of what draws me to robotics, navigation, and motion planning. These fields bring together movement, uncertainty, and decision-making, requiring systems to balance efficiency, robustness, and clarity. I enjoy the challenge of building and optimizing modelsand algorithms that transform complex environments into problems that can be understood, simplified, and solved.


In my spare time, I climb, run, and build. Rock climbing keeps me hooked for the same reason a good problem does; it rewards patience, strategy, and relying on simple yet highly efficient mechanims from the human body. On the building side, I enjoy designing puzzle boxes; I iterate through failed mechanisms and simplify complex ones until something clicks. Both have taught me that simplicity is usually something you earn, not something you start with.
